Starkweather are one of the most underrated 90s hardcore bands in my opinion. They have always challenged what a hardcore band should sound like and don't seem to care about what their contemporaries do.
After a near 10 year absence, Starkweather released Croatoan in 2005. Comeback albums more often than not see bands trying to recapture their glory days and falling short, not so with this album which was one of the best of the year.
The new album is coming out on Deathwish at the end of this month and I recommend that everyone picks it up, along with this album and their older releases too.
