BURNT BY THE SUN - HEART OF DARKNESS

It seems these days there are dozens of bands reforming and recording new material.  Here is another one.  Although Burnt By The Sun never originally broke up, members left and then returned, meaning that this album took 5+ years to be recorded and released.  Once again it was worth the wait.

Heart of Darkness is based on the book of the same name which was also the source material from Apocalypse Now.  If you've read the book or seen the film some of the lyrics will be instantly recognisable.

The album is possibly heavier than their last 2 full lengths and I actually think overall this is their strongest full length.  As I think I've mentioned in an earlier post, nothing can touch the first EP and split with Luddite Clone however.

This was only released on black, well that and the always sought after Relapse employee and band only press on clear out of 100 that always seem to make their way onto eBay.

Black /500
